The Retreat:

Casa Del'Cervo (House of The Deer) is located in a remote village in northwestern region of Piemonte, Italy. The village was officially established in 16th Century, but locals claim it to by hundreds of years older. Only five people live in the village year-round, making this a perfect environment to rest your mind and body. 

​

The house itself was originally a 'rustico' (store house), used to keep logs and fodder for livestock. In 2010 the house completed a huge renovation, giving the historical building a whole new lease of life and purpose- to become a sanctuary. It is a two bedroom (three bathroom) building that hugs all who enter its wooden-beamed interior. It's high ceiling provide a spaciousness, whilst it's original stone walls ensure a sense of grounding. Thanks to detailed love and attention devoted to the space by Alex Maciotta, comfort and safety effortless encourage a truly nurturing environment. ​ For all of the above reasons, in 2021 Bear took a year-long vow of silence and chose to spend the year at residing at this house.

The intention behind these retreats is to provide a highly attentive and restorative environment for all those wishing to stay at Casa Del'Cervo.  For this reason Bear is currently only accepting individuals or one couple at a time.

Local Information:

​

For the purpose of preserving the nature of this quaint village the exact location of the retreat will be share during the booking process. It's resides in a valley called Valle Cervo, known for its accessible mountain trails, waterfalls, humbling views and artisanal culture. The closest city is called Biella, a historically significant area recognised for being one of the major producers of textiles (especially wool) in the world. The city is 1hr drive from Turin International Airport and 1hr 15m drive from Milan Malpensa Airport.

Right on your doorstep one can drift into magical forests, on ancient trails that take you through the picturesque surrounding villages. The moment you open your eyes in the morning, you're treated to panoramic views of the norther Italian Alps. A handful of minutes away you can take a refreshing plunge into the local river or for those feeling adventurous, there are high-altitude, breath-taking lakes just a hike away!

Arrival/Departure:

• Turin and Milan are the most convenient airpots, offering low-cost and regular international flights. 

• Airport can be arranged at an additional cost.

• The closest train station is Biella San Paolo.

• Check-in begins at 14:00 on your chosen date of arrival and 14:00 on your departure date. ​

• Optional extra day/night stay (before or after your retreat dates) start at €149.
